Deposits / Rent / Fees :

• Your initial $200 deposit will reserve the date.
• Another $200 deposit and the full rent will be required when you sign a rental lease and we give you the keys.
• If you leave the property as clean as when you arrived, your deposit will be refunded by mail, less any long distance phone usage. (I'll need to get the phone bill before I can refund the deposit) There will be no exceptions to this requirement.
• If you use our bedding we expect you will wash it. If you do not, you will be charged $30 dollars (subtracted from your deposit) Most folks bring their own bedding.
• If the property is noticeably cleaner and the bedding is washed, we will refund $30 off your rent (added to your security deposit refund).
• Any extra cleaning required will be subtracted from your deposit.
• Any damage will be the responsibility of the renters. If it exceeds the deposit we will expect you to pay the difference.
• a video inspection will occur before and after your rental.

Property Respect:

• The cottage is fully furnished. We have personal items that are cherished and we hope that you respect our property.
• Please feel free to use everything in the cottage but if it is broken during your stay, please notify us. Normal wear and tear is to be expected, abuse is not.

Institute Regulations:

• Since the Silver Lake Institute is still the governing body, they request that each renter signs a rental agreement provided by the Board of Trustees.
